Basic Shelter with Door Flap

Protect your cats from harsh weather with this insulated, outdoor cat house. These are hand-made from heavy duty, plastic totes. The floor, walls and ceiling are insulated with foam DOW board with a good R-value to hold the heat in. Straw is included for bedding and provides extra warmth. The arched entrance door has a clear, vinyl flap that is flexible and will swing in both directions. The flap does not create an air tight seal, but will help to block out drafts and retain heat inside the shelter. There is an aluminum awning over the door to prevent rain and snow from entering. The lid snaps off, and the foam ceiling can be removed for maintenance and straw changes. The lid can be zip or wire tied to the bottom for security. The inside chamber measures 13" x 22" x 9 1/2" tall, a good size for two average sized cats. If electric is available, these will accommodate heat pads.
